Plus these species do tend to be more lethargic in the cooler months leading to few catches. Fish the structure. The so-called “Drop bars” that control the flow of water into the irrigation channels. Bridges and syphon areas are the spots to go casting. Look for areas where the water is being stirred up as that’s where the food is likely to be and the fish know that. When water levels increase in the channels this flush of freshwater can cause a bite increase from the fish.
